I've really neglected this site for a while :P Oh well.
A few weeks ago I started TAFE and i've settled in really well, i'm enjoying my courses and get along with everyone which is great. It's much more relaxed than I expected. Plus even though i'm full time, it's only 2 and a half days a week which works out great for lazy old me :P
The goth meetup was the other week and that went really well, had around 20 people turn up to China Town and everyone seemed to have a good time :) So i'll definitely keep them going.
Not too much else has really happened, i'm still working and getting a good amount of hours (nothing too excessive), i've been able to balance, work, TAFE and social time really well.
Eep! It's my 18th birthday in four weeks! I really don't know what I should do, had a few ideas (Lunch at Fasta Pasta on the Saturday, or dinner at Dragonfly bar). I'll probably hang out at Cranka that Saturday night then go sleep at Tommy's, wherever he's living at that stage (he's in the process of getting a room/granny flat at Flagstaff). So we'll have to wait and see. Should be fun either way.

First post of 2009!
I've been neglecting the internet for a while as i've been out and about a fair bit but now everything has calmed down a bit.
I started the new year off with my loveable Tommy, who I often still can't believe that i'm lucky enough to have.
I feel like I changed a lot between the end of 2007 to now. I suppose that's life for you though.
2009 has had it's good and bad moments so far. I had to break a few plans (such as getting photos done with Tommy, and catching up for tea with an old friend) but oh well. I injured my neck a few days after New Years as well and it's still quite sore. I've had next to no hours at work recently too.
There have been a lot of good moments though. First off, I had a blast getting to kick off the new year with Tommy, I just always look forward to the coming years when i'm around great friends. I've got the creative urge back again! Maybe it's the lack of work and things to do but i've been feeling rather crafty lately. I picked up some nice halloweeny fabric from Spotlight (Purple organza with black spiderwebs that i'm currently using as curtains) and i've bought some door handles and wax to fix up an old wooden cabinet that I picked up for nothing. I'm stopping by Spotlight again tomorrow to pick up some more lace and fabrics so I can get crafty.
I do feel like this is going to be a good year although hard at times. I know it will be better than 2008 was though as there's so many things to look forward to.
Starting TAFE
Turning 18/Going out more
Changing jobs (more than likely)
Moving out (hopefully sometime this year, even if it's late in the year)
Getting crafty
Planning what I want to do education/work wise for the next few years
I don't really make new years resolutions but every few years i'll say that i'll start doing something better and actually stick to it. Last year was to finish what I start and this year is to be more assertive and go for what I want.
This is probably horribly written and in no logical order but it's 20 past 1 and the night has really hit me now haha. Time to head off to bed.
May everyone's 2009 be everything that they hope it will be.

Eh, so the picnic didn't have as big of a turnout as I would have liked but I put it down to people getting ready for RvM/not wanting to go into the city twice in one day. But I had fun with those who did come, and not so much fun with certain people that spent most of the time ignoring everyone but themselves.
EXAMS ARE OVER! I'm so happy that i've finally finished year 12! I think I did quite well in my history exam actually. My graduation outfit is complete too. I got the lovely shoes off of ebay from Les Cabinet des Curiousities yesterday and they match my dress very well and they fit perfect so i'm very happy and oh so excited about going to my graduation.
Other than that not too much has gone on, just taking some time off to relax and tomorrow I get to hang out with my Tommy all day as it's our four month anniversary so that's always good :D

I'm also busy organising the "Gothic Picnic" on Saturday. I've been putting out the info in most of the places that I frequent online and it seems to have paid off by the amount of people that have RSVP'd (and that's just those that have heard directly from me and bothered to RSVP, I told most people that there was no need). So by the looks of it, it should be a success.
I'll be bringing my camera with me too to take some pics of those who consent :P
So tomorrow i'll be a busy little bee going shopping after my Modern History tutorial (Exam is Monday) and baking muffins.
Also, after seeing the bargain shoes that Les Cabinet des Curiousities is offering on their ebay store, i've decided to admit that I have an addiction to shoes (so now it's time for more guilt-free shoe buying!). But actually to be quite honest i've had my eye on that particular style for about a year now and being able to get them for hopefully around or under $50 (and in my size) is even better. If all goes well I think i'll even wear them to my graduation.
EDIT: I suppose I should put the picnic details here too :P
Adelaide Goth Picnic!
When: Saturday, November the 15th 2008 from 2pm onwards
Where: The (Adelaide) Botanic Gardens (Meet at the gates at 2 otherwise we'll be around the large grassy area near ponds, look for the bunch of black clad people having a picnic, shouldn't be too hard :P)
What to bring: Yourselves, food and drinks to share (but if you can't, don't let that deter you, ill be bringing lots of food to share), blankets to sit on, sunscreen, hats, sunnies, parasols, whatever else you wish to bring.

I sat my maths exam today and was surprisingly more confident after several 2am cram sessions from the previous nights. Despite having only 3 hours of sleep, feeling quite ill, not eating anything other than a half a packet of Twisties before and a headache which decided to strike me 3/4 quarters of the way through the exam, I think I did alright. Headache may or may not have been induced by confusing geometry questions and formulas that I was sure I knew but couldn't make sense of at the time.
Came home and had a nap :)
I've come to the realization that maths is a subject I will never study further :P

So technically i've finished school except for my exams, although I still have a drama review to write, a production report to finish, and a maths project to do. Aside from that, my bedroom is in major need of an overhaul, there's so many text books to return to school and countless other things school related to throw out. Ugh, there's so much to do! I still need to work out what I want to do next year and pick out what courses I want to apply to TAFE for. I'm thinking more towards professional writing after a bit of research as it'd be too hard to try to get into a photography course.
Lately it seems like there's hardly any money to go around, sure I bought a lot of things off ebay and paid my bills but i'm absolutely broke this week, I don't even have any money for a multi-trip which means I can't go out until my payday on Wednesday. Oh well, at least the amount of hours I have this week will make the week after seem a little better.

So i'm back at LJ, not that I ever used my last but here we go. A big thanks to
anitanervosa for giving me reason to re-join :)
I'm currently at the business end of year 12, hastily spewing out essays left, right and centre as i've been lazy for the first three terms. Officially, the 23rd of October is my last day of lessons/teacher interaction (which also happens to be mine and my boyfriend, Tommy's three month anniversary since we started dating). Between now and then i've vowed to work less and not go out, which happens to work out as i've been invited to so many events for the following weeks.
At the same time i've had a reality check, i'm an adult. I have friends who are out of home and having children (or currently carrying children), driving and working. When did all that happen? I still remember my first day of high school! It's true what they say, the older you get, the quicker time seems to pass.
I'm still not sure on my plans for next year. I'm being encouraged to study at TAFE, still not sure which courses i'll apply for though, looking to photography if I do choose to study next year. There's just do much to do and so much money I need to save up for. I still haven't got anything put towards my moving out of home fund :(
